What are Tractor Trails?

Tractor Trails is our way of connecting the Hills through walks, scenic drives, local stories, food stops and bookable experiences. You can follow a free self-guided trail or choose a planned adventure. There's no need to do everything in one day.

Are Tractor Trails for families?

Absolutely. We're a family business and Tractor Trails is about exploring the Hills together. Try a village walk, discover the forest, visit Chug or plan a bigger day out. Choose the route or experience that works for your family, and ask us about e-bike options.

Can we explore without hiring bikes?

Yes. The free Tractor Trail guides are open to everyone. Find walking and local discovery ideas, view available maps on your phone and enjoy the villages, cafés and scenic stops at your own pace.

What's included in Ride & Rail?

Ride & Rail combines an e-bike journey from OTR Emerald to OTR Gembrook, a one-way Puffing Billy journey to Lakeside and an arranged transfer back to Emerald. See the dedicated Ride & Rail page for the itinerary and enquiry details.

Can we just hire an e-bike?

Yes. E-bike hire is available from OTR Emerald and OTR Gembrook by arrangement, with half-day, full-day and one-way options. Check the e-bike hire page or enquire about availability and the best route for your plans.

Can we stop for food or make a weekend of it?

Of course. Visit Over the Road Emerald or Gembrook, ask about picnic options and explore Stay in the Hills for local accommodation. The idea is to make the Hills your own adventure, whether you're here for a few hours or a few days.
