General Store Gas is supplied through the Upper Beaconsfield General Store, a local business that has been serving the Hills since 1885. This Starter Offer is for customers receiving their first pair of General Store Gas 45kg rental cylinders.
That includes completely new LPG customers, existing General Store customers adding 45kg LPG for the first time, and customers moving across from General Store supplied Elgas bottles or other suppliers.

Local 45kg LPG supply across the Hills
You pay the standard General Store Gas price for the LPG supplied in your two opening bottles. We waive the first year of rental on both cylinders and the first delivery fee.

Customers moving from General Store supplied Elgas bottles or another LPG supplier are eligible if these are their first two General Store Gas 45kg rental cylinders.
The Starter Offer includes two 45kg General Store Gas bottles. You pay the standard General Store Gas price for the LPG supplied in the two opening bottles. The first-year annual cylinder rental charge is waived on both opening bottles and the delivery fee for the opening Starter Offer delivery is also waived.
Yes, provided these are your first two General Store Gas 45kg rental cylinders at the service address. The Starter Offer is specifically designed to make it easier for existing General Store-supplied Elgas customers to move across to General Store Gas.
We offer next-business-day 45kg LPG delivery to eligible addresses. Delivery timing remains subject to order timing, stock availability, safe property access and confirmation that the address is within our service area.
Standard annual cylinder rental applies after the introductory first year. Normal delivery charges apply after the opening free delivery. Current charges are available from the General Store team and the relevant product pages.
No. General Store Gas rental cylinders remain the property of Upper Beaconsfield General Store. Customers are responsible for looking after rented cylinders and following the applicable rental terms.
Cylinders owned by Elgas or another LPG supplier remain that supplier's property. They need to be returned to or collected by the relevant supplier. General Store Gas cylinders remain separate from cylinders owned by other suppliers.
The Starter Offer is for cylinder supply to a suitable existing LPG installation. If installation, regulator, pipework, appliance or compliance work is required, that work must be carried out by an appropriately licensed gasfitter.
Eligible paid LPG purchases can contribute to The Hills Club. The waived rental and delivery charges do not create points value, and normal Hills Club eligibility rules and exclusions apply.
