45kg Gas Bottle Annual Rental Fee (Per Bottle Held)

A rental fee is required to hold one of our gas bottles.  If you are buying General Store Gas for the first time, you need to purchase an annual rental and agree to the following terms (Residential LPG Cylinder Rental Agreement).

Residential LPG Cylinder Rental Agreement

This Agreement sets out the terms under which Upper Beaconsfield General Store ('we', 'our', 'us') rents LPG gas cylinders to you ('you', 'the customer'). By accepting delivery of LPG cylinders from us, or picking up a bottle, you agree to these terms.

1.    Ownership of Cylinders

LPG cylinders always remain the property of Upper Beaconsfield General Store. You are hiring the cylinders from us and paying a rental fee for their use. Cylinders must not be sold, transferred, refilled by anyone else, or tampered with.

2.    Cylinder Rental Fees

An annual rental fee is payable for our cylinders. Rental fees cover cylinder purchase and maintenance.  Our annual rental fee is paid in advance and remains payable whether or not you use LPG, or if you have a bottle for a full or part year. Fees may be reviewed from time to time; we will notify you before any change takes effect.

3.    LPG Supply & Payment

LPG bottles are supplied on a payment before delivery or pickup basis.  LPG prices may vary and the current price will be available at the time of purchase.

4.    Delivery & Access

Deliveries will only be made to certified LPG installations. You must ensure safe and clear access for our delivery staff, including:

·         Driveway or gate unlocked

·         Animals restrained

·         Cylinder area free of hazards, with trolley access.

If safe access is not available, alternative arrangements may be agreed.  Our drivers will attempt to swap and install your bottle.  If no one is home at the time of delivery, bottles will be delivered and installed, but left in the closed position.

5.    Pick Up of Bottles

You may collect LPG cylinders from our depot to avoid delivery fees. Cylinders must be transported upright, secured safely in that position, and located outside the passenger area of your vehicle (for example, in a trailer or ute tray). Transport must comply with relevant dangerous goods and road safety laws. We reserve the right to refuse collection if we consider your vehicle or transport method unsafe or non-compliant.

6.    Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

·         Safe storage and use of cylinders in compliance with Australian standards

·         Keeping cylinders in good order and condition

·         Any damage to, or loss of, cylinders while in your possession.

·         Maintenance of your own regulators and connections

Only LPG supplied by Upper Beaconsfield General Store may be used in our cylinders.

7.    Loss, Damage & Replacement

If a cylinder is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, you must pay the replacement cost:

·         $200 per 45kg cylinder

·         $100 per 15kg cylinder

Any unreturned cylinders at the end of your rental will be charged at replacement cost. No refunds are provided for gas remaining in returned cylinders.

8.    Safety & Compliance

Cylinders must always be stored upright, outdoors, and in a well-ventilated area. You must not attempt to repair, refill, or modify cylinders. Only licensed gas fitters may connect or modify installations.

9.    Termination

Either party may end this Agreement by giving 14 days’ notice. We may terminate immediately if you fail to pay fees or breach these terms. On termination, cylinders must be made available for collection in good condition, or a loss, damage or replacement fee will apply.

10.  Change of Address or Property Sale

You must notify us at least 3 business days before changing address, selling your property, or moving cylinders. Cylinders must not be moved to another property without our written approval.

11.  Inspection & Access Indemnity

We may inspect cylinders or the installation area for safety compliance. You indemnify us against any injury, damage, or cost arising from unsafe access conditions at your property, including unrestrained animals, poor access, or site hazards.

12.  Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for damage caused by your misuse, poor installation, or unsafe handling of LPG.  We are also not responsible for damage to your equipment (including regulators and associated fittings) resulting from normal wear and tear or misuse.  Our liability under law is limited to resupplying LPG or refunding its cost.

13.  Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms with effect from (2) business days after the date that notice is sent to You by post, email transmission or notification on our website.

14.  Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a Gas Bottle from us, and by accepting delivery of our bottle(s), you agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions in full.
